This is so hard for me because I’m pretty much an open book… I’ll tell anybody anything, but to think that I have unique things about me is pretty hard… but, like April, you cannot judge me anything that follows.

1. I’ve been pregnant three times. Our first, we lost to a missed m/c. That was the absolute hardest time in my life. I am thankfu for it now, well, the entire experience, because it has brought me so much closer to God. I don’t think God causes bad things to happen, but I do know that he uses those things to bring us closer to him.

2. Little Sister was almost born on the potty. I felt like I needed to go, so I went, but I couldn’t. Then my water broke and I swear I thought she was going to plop right out in the hospital bathroom. Thankfully, she didn’t. But minutes later she was born, all natural, without a single drop of medication (though I did take two Tylenol earlier that day). I’m super duper proud of myself for having a natural labor and delivery. I wimped out with Big Sister and had an epidural only 30 minutes before she was born. I wish I would have held out.

3. I think breastfeeding gives me super human powers. I know it’s silly and so many people think breastfeeding is weird (they are wrong, by the way). But I honestly just enjoy that cozy time with my girls. Big Sister nursed til she was 19 months old and I was several months pregnant with Little Sister. I didn’t think she’d ever quit. We’re planning to let Little Sister continue until she’s had enough… or I’ve had enough. But atleast til 18 months. Seriously, folks, it’s one of the absolute best things you can do for your baby.

4. April, skip ahead to number 5!My husband & I have only done the deed once since Little Sister was born. She’s 4 months old people. Yes, I know this is ridiculous. But atleast I know I’m not about to get knocked up;)

5. In my early college days, I was a super duper partier. I could do keg stands that would impress the boys. I used to be able to handle it all. I’m pretty sure looking at a beer, now, would make me drunk!

6. I secretly wish I had it all together. I almost want to be Donna Reid. I’m so not. There are toys everywhere the majority of the time. I don’t dust or clean my baseboards. If my vacuum can’t get it, it probably won’t get done. I wish I had more time to bake and make super awesome dinners for my family. All in time, though, I know. It’s hard to do too much with two small ones. And keeping everything clean is just silly. I’d rather be playing with the girls.

7. I hit a deer 3 months after I got my drivers license. It was the scariest thing ever. I can still see that sucker jumping on the hood of my car. My precious ‘88 Pontiac Grand Am. Oh yeah, that sucker was great. Even now, 9 year later, whenever I see a deer while I’m driving I freak out.

I’m still breastfeeding my daughter and she is almost 15 months. I hate it how people look at me like I am insane! But I agree- I love the bonding time and it really is good for your kids.
