Love Thursday - Kissy Toes

Last night after our busy, fun day and church, Little Sister and I were able to steal away a few moments before bedtime. I really miss having just one child, just because I miss all that extra physical lovin’ I can give to one child at a time. I would never wish one of my beautiful children away, but I really do miss just having time to sit and snuggle Little Sister up like I did when Big Sister was a baby. I miss the snuggling in bed and nursing. I miss just taking things slow.
Here it is, almost 5 months since Little Sister made her arrival, and I have no clue where the time went. It breaks my heart to think we may never have another tiny baby in the house. (Steph, I’m already starting to want another one! Please remind me come December!) I love this age. Little Sister loves her feet and nothing in the world can make her smile like those ten toes. She loves her Big Sister who is the only one who can make Little Sister belt out with big belly laughs. The love I see between these two girls is enough to melt glaciers. They are my life. And I cannot believe that God would entrust me, me!, to do His work. Oh how wonderful!
I was reading my friend & Wednesday night bible study leader’s blog and found this from his most recent post. It’s from Mark Batterson’s book “In a Pit With a Lion on a Snowy Day”
“Accumulate experiences. Consider the lilies. Enjoy the journey. Find every excuse you can to celebrate everything you can.”
I love it. Today I’m celebrating those ten toes which make my daughter squeal.
Happy Love Thursday.

What a sweet moment to capture.
I’m at school right now and definitely missing my sweet Savannah snuggles and chubby toes!
