We’re home!

There are a million reasons why I am so thrilled to be home. But, here are just a few.

1. Riding in the car for 12 hours (yes, it took TWELVE hours - average 30 miles an hour!) with a 5 month old is not the time of my life.

2. We have carpet. The entire time we had cold, hard tile floor. Not 5 month old who is sitting up friendly.

3. There’s no sand in my sheets.

4. There’s no sand ANYWHERE.

5. Big Sister has toys. All of her dolls have had a bath, changed their clothes, purses have been found, clothes has been changed twice, paper has been colors, puzzles have been put together and torn apart, towers have been built. I think she missed her toys.

6. Little Sister is taking a nap. Alone. By herself.

7. Word World. We never could figure out when this came on down in Florida. But now, Word World after lunch. Life is good for Big Sister.

8. My monitor looks huge after using a laptop screen.

9. Food* (read below)

10. I know where everything is. I don’t have to google finding a Target because I know where are beloved Target is.

Now, a few things that I’m missing:

1. It’s 75 degrees on th beach right now, sunny and beautiful. It’s cold and raining here.

2. I left my pillow in the condo. My beautiful, down pillow that my MIL bought for me for Christmas. It has a my favorite pillowcase too.

Oh wow, that’s pretty much it.

*When we left, I paid our bills online through our bank and I forgot to hit the double check thing (technical, yes) so NONE of our bills were paid. Leaving us with having our electricity being shut off. How embarresing! So, our wonderful neighbor called to tell us and we had it turned back on before leaving FL yesterday. Nothing stunk, but all our food in the freezer and fridge are ruined. I had like 40 ounces of breastmilk in the freezer and it’s ruined. That’s the saddest thing.

Pictures to come, after I figure out where the cord is!
