Our trip - a review

So, as you know, we are home from our two week trip to the beach. And those of who are just turning green from envy - don’t. It was a trip for the girls & I, but J had to work his tail off during this trip. He was gone from sun up til sun down leaving me in a town I don’t know and two girlies to take full care of and try to go to the beach and make it fun for a two year old. Because we all know that a two year old without her toys and in a one bedroom condo = absolute stir craziness.

We did have a blast though. I won’t lie. Despite having a fever and a cold for more than half of the trip, despite falling down the outside stairs (awesome, yes?) and hurting my wrist (which still really hurts and I can’t pick up my kiddies because it hurts). But yes, it was a great great time. Mostly because it was FREE. And yeah, I can’t get over the fact that we only had to pay $110 for the four of us to stay in a nice (err 80’s style) condo right on the beach. It was fantastic.

So, here are some of my most favorite pictures from the beach. You can check out the rest HERE at the Okaloosa Island Collection on Flickr.com.

Would I do this again? For sure. But I would only go after both of my kids are walking (this is probably a mistake) or if I had some friends to go with me. And get this, my cheap-o husband (who would totally take that as a compliment!) says that next time, we’ll just split the difference after his work pays for it and we’ll invite some friends for free! Ya know, after we get our tushies out of debt. And thanks to taxes we’re almost there!

Free is *always* a good price, eh? :) Glad you had so much fun - it was fun on this end looking through the Flickr photos!

Wow! Too sweet those pictures. Really, the one with you kissing your baby is just so lovely. You so need to frame that!

I hope your wrist gets better soon, it’s horrible to be in pain like that!

    Take care,
    Amy

That looks like so much fun! I’m glad you had fun in spite of some of the stuff that happened.
