End of March
How my goals are going:
1. Read at least 25 books.
2. Lose baby weight + some extra pounds
3. Project 365, one picture a day
1. I’ve been bad. Really bad. With the trip to Florida, having a daughter who will no longer nurse for 30 minutes straight (my usual reading time), and just being super busy, I haven’t read too much this month.
Let Them Eat Cake is the only book that I’ve read completely through this month. It’s a cute book. There’s not much else to say. It’s not thought provoking or all that interesting, but it was good for a 12 hour trip in the car, each way. The main character is trying to find her place in the world, trying to figure out what it is that she wants to do in life, with her degree in French. She starts working in a French bakery and slowly finds peace with God and realizing that life is all in His hands.
I’m currently reading Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell. My Key Group (aka Wednesday night Bible Study group) has done several of Rob Bell’s small group studies and I’ve enjoyed them all. Jeremy has recommended this book and I bought it before we left for Florida, thinking I would have hours on the beach to read (I was terribly mistaken), I started on it down there and just found in it my suitcase when I finally put it away.
Also, I’ve started reading Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about her novels. Though I’m only on page 60, I decided on page 30 that my children will either be homeschooled or sent to a private school. I am terrified of school shootings and I guess I’m going to be a sheltering type of mother. I pray now for my girls (and any other children we may be blessed with) that they will be safe from harm and always be protected by God. Oh, it’s so scary being a mom.
So, I’m stinking up at reading. But I’m 10 out of 25. So I’m pleased.
2. Losing weight - uhm, yes, well… I gained three pounds last over the past three weeks (chocolate bunnies, anyone?) and apparently peanut M&M’s are not diet food. Who would have thought? So, I gained those three pounds and have lost 5. Putting me at 175lbs right now. Still 3 pounds heavier than I was when I gave birth. But, I’m finally doing something about it and it feels good. My goal is to be 5 pounds lighter by the time April 1st rolls around. You can keep up with my progress by coming here on Fridays for Fitness Fridays, or you can check out my ticker to left. It shows how much I’ve lost and how much I have to go.
3. Project 365 is still going strong. You can view them all here at my flickr.com account. Be sure to add me to your friends so you can view all our amazing (ha!) pictures.

How are the new goals going?
-start running/jogging/or at least walking with the girls in the double stroller. Little Sister will be able to ride around without the bulky car seat in a bit. Uhm. Not yet. Will start this soon…
-stay on this awesome cleaning schedule at found. sorta/kinda
-kiss my husband at least three times a day. even when I don’t particularly want to. Unfortunately, I haven’t stayed on this one either.
I kind of stink on keeping goals. But I will just try harder in the month of April (by the way, I don’t know what happened to the month of March. It flew by.)

You can do it! Just keep on keepin on! Set your cell phone alarm for 3 different times during the day when James is around. Each time it goes off…KISS that man!! As far as walking…why don’t you ask Steph if she would be up for a walk once a day at a time that would work well for the both of you?? Just an idea! I can’t wait for tonight…we’re gonna have so much fun!

Those are some great goals…I am trying some as well. I wonder how tall you are cause I am at about the same weight and trying to figure out what is a good amount of weight to lose. I’ve gone down 15 lbs and I liked it but it was easy to put back on.
I need to get on a cleaning schedule

Keep it up girl! You can do it! And “Velvet Elvis” is my favorite book right now. Still looking for one to beat it!

Right now my only goal is to not feel like a raw, exposed nerve. I’m slowly getting there.
Hopefully soon I’ll get back to my “other” list of goals. Until then, I’ll be YOUR cheerleader! Go! Go! Go!
