weekend fun
First, don’t forget to leave a comment to the latest bloggy giveaway. Remember to follow the rules so you’ll be eligible to win! I’ll be closing the drawing on Monday at midnight central time. And will have the drawing Tuesday! Be sure to check back for more monthly giveaways. I have some really cool things for the next few months!
I didn’t take many exciting pictures this weekend. It seemed like we were just on the go constantly. Friday night we went to dinner at my parents house. My dad came home on Wednesday from his physical therapy rehab and we all got together to hang out and just be around one another. It was wonderful. We did miss my brother though. He’s having a tough go at it lately and I just really need to remember him in my prayers. I want to say more, but I think I really need to just pray before I open my big mouth!
On Saturday we had a double birthday party for some sweet friends of ours. Braden turned 4 and Blake turned 2! I am amazed at how fast children grow up! I remember holding Blake when he was only a week old at church. J & I had just started going to our Wednesday night group (Element 26 - shameless plug) and had just met Mark & Amanda. But she let me hold her sweet newborn and oh my, he was just precious. Adeline was about 6 months old at the time. So I had just left that stage and entered into a new exciting one.
After the b-day party, we had my Aunt & Uncles 50th Wedding Anniversary Party. I, of course, had nothing to wear, so we rushed over to Marshall’s to try to find something cute. And I did! I was so excited! Very rarely do I get excited about buying new clothes (manly because of my heifer-ness satuss), but I found a really cute springy dress with a cute little cardigan. Very exciting.
My Aunt & Uncle are pretty well known in our community, so it was a pretty neat thing to attend. They had their wedding album out and that was neat to see my dad when he was so young. There were also pictures of my Grandaddy Crigger that I had never seen before. So that was cool. We stayed there only for a little while because the girls were ready to go home and nap (so were J & I!)
When we got home and had Little Sister down for her first real nap (she had taken two little ten minute naps in the car), the phone rang at it was Jana, my Sister-In-Law, calling to see if J, the girls and I wanted to meet them for pizza. Now, they live a little over an hour away but they drove all the way up to see us and the girls and to eat with us. It was very sweet. J’s brother is sixteen years his senior (which means he’s sixteen years older, obviously) so they’ve had a pretty neat relationship over the years. They have three boys, Abe (12), David (10) and Luke (7). I love those boys. They are so precious and fun. And since I have girls, it’s neat to get a little of the boy side to life. We went to the Snappy Tomato and then to Target. It really meant so much that they would drive an hour just to hang out for a few hours.
After Target, we came home to sleep! Then off to J’s hometown the next morning for his cousin Sally’s baby shower!
We finally made it back at 5pm tonight. And we are just bushed. I have a doctor’s appointment in the morning and then we’ll get back to our regular schedule. Hopefully.
I’ve been using some crafty time lately and I’ve made some rather cute things. If I get around to it I will post some pictures of the fun things. I’ve got baby shower fever going on! Which, I just found out our precious friends Grant & Katy are expecting again!
Oh and has anyone tried Zumba? I think I might order it. It promises to make you drop an entire dress size in ten days. I can handle that!

Thanks! We are so excited!!!! Shocked, but excited. It’s going to be super hard letting this one’s sex be a surprise. But I already have a feeling what it is
I have tried Zumba both on DVD and at the MAC. It’s hard at first, but you can adapt the moves to however you can do it. I like the class more b/c of the atmosphere and the moves are actually a little easier. You should definitely try it.
