End of April
So here’s how it’s going so far.
25 books this year: I’ve only read a few books. My sitting around time has been seriously cut back since Little Sister doesn’t nurse so much, for so long. Plus she tries to eat whatever book I’m trying to read while nursing her.
#11- Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell- pretty much awesome. This is highly recommended to anyone who wants to find a new way of looking at their faith and the way that we, as Christian, should be sharing that faith. I think it’s a wonderful revival of sorts.
#12- Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult - If you are unsure if you’d like to send your children to public school or not - this will make you want to home-school or meet a sweet gal like April and talk her into homeschooling your children. The ins and outs of what makes a child want to go into a high school and kill several classmates and shooting even more. An absolute tragic story.
#13- Greening Your Baby and Child Care- Uhm… yeah. Let’s just say that while I’d love to be more “crunchy” and have a more organic lifestyle. My budget and laziness totally prevent that for me. Let’s face it. I bought organic milk once and it was twice as much as regular milk. I bought organic eggs and they are too strong for my taste. I do buy my chicken organic and refuse to buy Tyson chicken. My Father-In-Law used to be a chicken inspector before he became a veterinarian and we’ll just leave it at that. Plus, my in-laws live in a town where Tyson has a big factory and when we go to visit, sometimes we’ll see a big ol’ truck of chickens going in for the kill. And it just makes my stomach turn.
But to redeem myself the smallest amount, Little Sister has been on an ALL organic diet. Well, I guess my breast milk isn’t organic because that would require me to be on an all organic diet and the meats I eat to be all organic. But whatever, she’s getting breast-milk and that’s good. Her peas and carrots and sweet potatoes and green beans have all been organic. So, I’m winning the small (itty bitty battles).
What I’m currently reading:
Pathway to Purpose for Women(for Bible Study) & I Heard That Song Before (because can one ever read enough of Mary Higgins Clark?)
Lose Weight
Ha. But I did buy a work out video. So far in these past four months I’ve lost 6 pounds. Gained them back, lost them, and have gained them back. I am currently only 7 pounds less than I was January 1. But yeah, that’s seven pounds less than I had then. I’m thinking of doing something drastic like stop buying ice cream. We’ll see. Or maybe exercise. I hear that works.
Project 365
I’ve done it. I just haven’t organized it or made a small clip of it. You can go to the April 2008 flickr set and view the rest of them as soon as I find a few on the desktop. I saved them somewhere… I think. I hope. Then I will upload then into flickr, so no fear - one day they will be there. But until then, here’s what I have of April 2008.

So, other things?
- I have been walking & playing out side lots, especially since the weather has been lovely and we have a playground in our very own back yard. Yay!
- I think it’s time that Little Sister goes to sleep in her own bed. I miss my alone time with my husband at night. I also miss sleeping on my back or stomach. My hips and shoulders hurt when I wake up.
- My house has been rather clean lately. I’m impressed. I’m pretty lazy (err… busy playing with my kids) to stay way on top of things. But yeah, other than my baseboards, blinds and fans, things are pretty clean.
Okay, that’s pretty much it. Things are good. Life is good. I think now that spring is here, I’m over my great phase of funk. Hallelujah

Sounds like things are going so great & I am glad! I am sure James will skip and sing when he sees the part about little sister going to her own bed!
If it’s legal…I would totally consider having a little school in my house! I should have the credentials to back it up in a couple of years :o)

Okay, if my calculations are correct, and I doubt they are… I suck at math. (leave out the part where you gained the weight back) You lost 6lbs. and then lost 6lbs. again. and somewhere in there lost 7 in the last four months so it sounds to me like you have “lost” a total of 19lbs. That’s what I would be telling people (again you’ve just got to leave out the part where you gained the weight back) Hehehe. At least you have goals. I am too lazy and apathetic to have goals. I’ll get around to it someday though. Good job for you!!!!
