More Answers to those questions!? Geez, is this number 4??

FIRST OF ALL. If you know my sweet friend April, then you know that she and her husband have been waiting to adopt from Vietnam. If you follow her blog then you’ve already been reading about the conflicts between the US government and the Vietnam government. If you don’t, then here’s the short of the long. The US & Vietnam governments have been unable to resolve a new contract for allowing the US to adopt their orphaned children. It’s silly and stupid and very… political. So, to support our sweet friend April (and she is so incredibly sweet, really, she babysits our children for FREE as part of her married with children ministry - that’s not it’s real name-, she teaches the Kindergarten Sunday school class, she is the pre-school VBS director, she hugs and loves on all of our children, she’s just a natural born to be a momma kind of gal), then you should check out her blog. Also, you should send a quick little email like the one posted below by the end of Friday, May 30. You can send that email to advocate@jcics.org. Thanks y’all. Also, there are bloggy giveaways for this. April is hosting one here. And another Jill is hosting one here. (She’s a pampered chef queen, so I’m sure it’ll be great!)
Here is a sample:

Hi. My name is _________ and I am writing to express my support of the A Child’s Rights Campaign for Vietnam. I am close to a family that is ready and willing to provide a loving home to a child that needs it. They have a heart for the children of Vietnam and I know that there are many others that feel the same. Let’s express this and get the governments moving towards a new agreement in order to provide homes for the orphans of Vietnam!

Sincerely,

Now, answers for your questions.

April asks, “The one I want to ask is, what is your idea of a perfect date with your hubby. Once you answer, I’ll have him read!”
Oh, April. We’re actually going on a (real) date on Saturday. And I could not be more excited. We’re going to TPAC to see Jesus Christ Superstar (one of my most favorite musical…er, rock opera, I should say). I’m thrilled and tickled pink. My mom is babysitting and we’re going to dress up and eat (probably something quick since I do have a nursing baby at home) and go to NASHVILLE. Fancy, huh? Seriously, we don’t get out and it’s a shame. But this is just that season in our life where we spend every minute possible with our precious tiny daughters. Because one day, they’ll be going to Nashville on dates and we’ll go along too to spy.

Jules“One question for you is…If you had to eat three things for the rest of your life (and never gain weight!) what would it be?”
Uhm, Oreos because they are the most awesome thing in the world. Watermelon because God made it especially for me, I just know it. And BLT’s, which is more than one thing, but man, I love a good BLT. In fact, Watermelon is what I craved my entire pregnancy with Big Sister and BLT’s with Little Sister. Yummy yummy.

Fighting Windmills “My question for you: if your internet connection went down for a week and you couldn’t blog, what do you think you would do? How would you react? Would you mind?”

Normally, I would freak out and go to my parents house or somewhere to check on my blog and bloggy friends. I must know what’s going on in peoples’ lives at all time. It’s a curse, but it is what it is (I dislike that saying).
But lately, I have been not addicted so much. I’ve been busy with children who don’t take naps. I’ve been kind of down and out and a little stressed about some things that I dislike being elusive about. But in the next few weeks, I imagine things will be back to normal.

bunny “My question is : What’s the best piece of advice for those who will start to be a mommy?”
Just love on your babies. Have a great support system around. Especially if you are a new breastfeeding mommy. Man, do you need support, and I’m not just talking about an extra pair of hands to get the baby to latch, I’m talking about a lactation consultant, read tons of books, have your husband be super supportive, have lots of hands on help (have everyone do every and anything and you sit on the couch and nurse your heart away). Don’t get stressed. I so wish that I had those first few months back with my girls. I was SO deep in PPD. There are chunks that I just don’t remember. It’s kind of a mixed blessing, really.
Just have support and love your children. Teach them about God and Jesus and pray for your babies now. If they are in your belly, pray for them. If they are in Vietnam, pray for them. If they are still just a twinkle in your eye, pray for them. Their futures, their friends, their husbands, wives, future children. Pray that they will grow to know the Lord and love Him with all their hearts.
That would be my best advice, above all else.

More to come…

Hubby and I have been dying for a date night too. I was actually just thinking of making a trip to Memphis just so the grandparents could babysit while we got to go to one of our many favorite places there.
I agree, I love on my baby girl all the time, and always thinking pretty soon she won’t let me anymore.:(
