Sunday drives

After church I had a meeting with our Children’s Minister (ess?) to get some information for Back Yard Bible Club. I’m super nervous about this because, A) It was Tiffany’s baby and she’s left it to me. I don’t want to dissapoint her or the kids who have been going to it for the past year; B) Our Children’s Minister is leaving. Her last Sunday is next Sunday and I have alot to do before then. We’re meeting on Tuesday and then I’m meeting on Wednesday night with the rest of the BYBC members(?) to go over the new material. Oh goodness, I am nervous!

Anyways,  we didn’t leave church until later and we had a later lunch which threw my kids off into a tizzy because an almost 3 year old and almost 1 year old need routine. They didn’t fall asleep on our ride back home is what I’m saying, people.

We drove around through a new neighborhood near ours and found an open house. Since the girls were still awake we decided to go in. And yeah, I think we found our perfect house. It’s 3,000 square feet, 4 bedroom 2.5 baths, has an office downstairs, the kitchen has tile and granite, no deck, but a back porch big enough for a swing and a patio big enough for cute furniture and our grill. It’s adorable. The yard is smaller than what we’d like. But it’s an awesome, awesome price because the market is not so great. But because the market is not so great - we might have a hard time selling our house. And the reality of it is, selling our house makes a huge pit in my stomach form. This is where we had our first night as Mr. & Mrs.  This is where we’ve brought our two daughters home to. This is where I’ve made a nursery and big girl room. This is where our home is. I would miss this house so much. So much.

But J is pretty stoked about this house. Which is just weird… because he’s an engineer and he doesn’t get stoked easily. Who knows?

As I sit here, looking at our office and knowing that we’d have to keep our office absolutely clean for it to be downstairs… that’s a little daunting.

But it does has a three car garage. So that’s fun.

Don’t be nervous you will do a great job. God will equip you in all ways for this ministry. You will find out that the children will minister to you as you are ministering to them. It is such a blessing and you are in my prayers!

Don’t worry about BYBC. You obviously have a heart for it. I’m sure you’ll do a great job.

Can’t wait to hear more about the house. Sounds lovely.
