She’s almost one!
I can’t believe I even have to type that. I cannot believe that my sweet Little Sister is going to be one years old in just 11 days. Oh my word.
So, in honor of the sweetest (screamiest - she’s the screamer, not me) 11.5 months, I want to share some wonderful things about Little Sister.
She’s cute. She is very, very cute. She was the most beautiful little 6 pounds and 14 ounces I’ve ever seen in my life. She came into this world fiercely and I imagine that’s the way she will always be. Her name means “noble and strength”. That she is and has.

Eating the oh so not yummy green beans. I love how serious she is.

One of my favorites. She’s a doll.

Another favorite. And I didn’t realize you can see my finger.

My absolute favorite. Fuzzy head and all.

This pretty much sums up how Big feels about Little. God, thank you.

See those smile lines around my husband’s eyes? LOVE it. Seeing him so in love with our girls makes me fall more and more in love with him. Thank you, Lord, for a husband who loves our children, who is hands on, who wants to teach them about You. Thank you.

Swinging somewhere between where we live and Florida. A MUCH needed break from the car. I am thankful for random parks on the side of interstates.

Little Sister was obviously attacked by Big Sister’s crayon. It’s a cute little fake eyebrow.
I was only going to post a few pictures, but I got lost insideĀ my flirk.com account.
There have been many ups and downs the past 11 months. I won’t lie. It was a very difficult time after Little Sister was born. My grandaddy was sick, dying. My dad was also very sick. I had a hard time emotionally after she was born. I did not bounce back by any means. I had to have surgery when she was 3 months old . My grandaddy diedĀ 4 days after my surgery, right before Christmas. My dad almost died. Several times. It’s just been a rough 11 months. But God gave me this precious gift to help occupy (consume) my time. He gave me the gift of Life when there was so much to mourn. He gave me His precious child to raise and love and to bring up in His ways.
Oh, Lord, am I ever so thankful. Even with all the months of crying (both hers and mine), with the exhaustion that has yet to pass, with all the bad, Lord, you’ve given me good.
I could never express my thanks, to the Lord who made me, enough. She’s precious and beautiful and a treasure. There’s just something about little girls…

I know. I wish these babies would just stop growing up. My hubby tells my girls that they need to stop disobeying him by getting older. Love the pictures, especially the one with the extra eyebrow.

OH MY GOODNESS…where has the time gone! She is such blessing from God and I know you are so thankful for her and big sister. It is amazing to watch them grow and take on their own personality. I still pray for that little one everyday and her future. I love that precious one!!!

I love it! What an amazing gift from God! He is so good. Our blessings do help us through the hard times. I think that’s by design.
