My Summer Projects

There’ s just something about this time of year that makes me want to do things. Lots of things. My ideas far outweigh my capabilities.

I just wanted to share some of my Summer Projects with you all - and I can also just direct Jamesy to the blog incase he’s slacking on his Honey Do List:)

1. FINISH the girls bathroom. I recently took everything off the walls, their shower curtain down, and started to paint. Soon after starting to paint, I remembered why I don’t paint. I’m REALLY REALLY bad at it. So, I taped it off for Jamesy. We ran out of paint - so we’re kind of in this weird in between- and my in between, I mean it’s totally non functional.

2.  Reorganize Our Closest. When we bought our house - we knew the master closet was a problem. But - we had four more closests in the house to use. Well, Big Sister was born so we have three more closests to use. Then Little Sister - so we are down to two. Jamesy has most of his clothes in our bonus room’s closet, but we’d REALLY like to use that for a craft/game closet. So… we’ve been talking about it for almost 5 years (I can’t believe we’ve been here for almost 5 years!), and we’re finally going to install closet organization stuff.

3. Paint Our Bedroom & Bathroom. Oh, it’s true- this has YET to be done. I’m not really sure what we’re waiting on (I know I’m waiting on James because I’m an awful painter). Our bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a weird cubby hole thing and is just going to take lots of ladder climbing and paint. I really, really, really wish James would let us hire someone.

4. Chalkboard Paint. I can’t decide what I’m going to paint with it - but I will be busting out some chalkboard paint soon, I hope! I’m thinking on the inside of the pantry door - or I would LOVE to do the office door. Or maybe I’ll take off a big square in the office and frame it? I just don’t know.

My summer projects include painting, painting, and some more painting! I would really love to have closets like that. But I want a completely bigger closet too! And I really like that chalkboard paint idea. I think framing it off would be really cute.

I really want to organize our closet too. Mostly decluttering things need to be done. The master bedroom needs painted and the loft needs to be finished with painting. I love that chalk paint. Very cool. Good luck with the projects.
