Okay, so I usually do a Wordless Wednesday, but I just didn’t make it that far today! It’s 10pm, I’m snuggled in my jammies, about to watch Law & Order SVU on tivo – getting ready for a snow day tomorrow!  (expect pictures!). So, I’m trying this Random Dozen thing out.

Bring it.

1. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being a cranky-baby-hissy-fitter, how much of a complainer are you?
Depends on who I’m complaining to. If it’s to the hubster- then I can be a big fat 10. To most everyone else I would say a 4 or 5.

2. When someone else is talking, do you listen, or are you thinking about what you’re going to say in response?
I’m listening. I can pretty much recall anything anyone has ever said to me in the history of my life. Unless I’m reading blogs- then I’m just ignoring you completely.

3. I just deleted 1062 messages from my email account. Do you have any plans for a clean sweep this month–of anything?
Yes! This is the year that I throw all my junk away! I just donated12 pairs of shoes that I haven’t worn in years, thanks to pregnancy making my feet grow. I’m in the process of cleaning out the upstairs bonus room and all the stinkin’ toys that have taken over our house! I’m excited, y’all!

4. Tell us about your perfume. Was it a gift? What does it remind you of? Do you have a signature scent?
I don’t really wear perfume. I’m sweet enough! ha!

5. What is your best organizing tip for the new year?
Have a place for everything and everything in it’s place. And seriously – if you haven’t used it in a long time, you probably aren’t going to need it anytime soon. And if you do – just ask your ratpack cousin/friend/neighbor to borrow theirs!

6. What is your favorite comic strip?
Dilbert. Because I was blessed with an engineer for a husband!

7. Do you sleep with a fluffy or flat pillow?
The flatter the better!8. What color is your kitchen? Why did you choose that color?
Red! I picked it because I liked it and wanted something fun.

9. What’s the most interesting bumper sticker you’ve seen?
I kept seeing over and over again “Body Peircing Saved My Life” but it took me about 6 months to finally get it. Do you get it?

10. Do you prefer an expensive writing tool or whatever is lying around? (Are you a Montblanc or a Papermate?)
Papermate. Crayon. Chalk – whatever I can find and reach from the phone!

11. What chore doesn’t feel like a chore – you just enjoy it (at least most of the time)?
I think making the beds is something that I enjoy doing. The room just looks so much better, even if there are clothes on the floor, toys taking over – somehow – the room just looks better.

12. If your parents often repeated themselves, what is something one of them said more than once?
I can’t think of much my parents told me, but here’s some great advice from my Grandaddy:

1. Don’t take any wooden nickles.
2. Cold hands mean a warm heart.
3. Enjoy every day with your children while they are young. You don’t get it back.
